ALFRED GILES
Alf always welcomed you with open arms into his house. You would always be greeted with your pet name and given a joke - typically a dad joke! He was a master at the dad jokes!
I have fond memories of Alf making his bread on the weekend. I always thought he was so talented with all the different types of loaves he would make. I was so impressed with his spaghetti bolognese. It was a meal I never forgot.
There was always a story to be told and he had many of them. Whether long or short!
Alf loved a good old chat over a nice warm cuppa whether it was summer or winter and always trying to give you a sneaky drink of red wine.

"Dad, you were always ready to protect, defend, and come to the aid of his family and friends who became family. There was never an end to what you would do for all of us. "
"Our coffee & sausage roll river chat catch ups are some of the best times of my life. I will meet you at our bench soon, Dad, and continue to share my highs, lows, and everything in between. I miss you"
