We send our deepest condolances to all that are remembering the life of Aunty Mavis who passed away on 24 September 2025. In particular, we are thinking of Dianne, Caron and Marc and their families who are suffering the loss of someone so special.

Aunty mavis will always have a place in our hearts and we want you to know we care about you all and share in your sadness. I am particularly reminded of my time in Zambia with Mavis, Malcolm, Dianne, Caron and Marc. Those experiences shaped me as a person. It was a very special time spent with very special people.
Lots of love Richard and Annette xx

We were so sorry to hear about Aunty Mavis’ passing. Our hearts and thoughts go out to Dianne, Caron, Marc and all their families. We hope you’re finding strength in each other and in the memories of the good times you shared with your mum, grandma and great grandma.
I’ve been thinking about the times we spent together—first in Mufulira (Zambia), later in Horbury (UK), and finally in Perth, when we were finally able to visit in 2019. Those places hold many memories that feel even more precious now. I hope Dianne, Caron & Marc can hold onto those kind of memories too, the ones that make you smile even through the sadness. Lots of love David, Helen and the boys x

Missing you dearest Mum more than I ever thought that I could. Our ritual Saturday morning Coffee and Cake over conversations of Life and Family Memories (both happy and sad), have left a huge emptiness in my day. I will forever hold you in my heart with gratitude for all the opportunities and adventures you and our Beloved Dad, exposed us to. We had a childhood rich with experience that has shaped each of us to be the adults we are . I will never watch a Sunset without thinking about you and Dad. When I look to the sky, I will remember your awe of the ever changing clouds and that rainbows always follow the darkness! I know that in the night sky, a new Star shines brightly in memory of you. I am comforted in the knowledge that you're reunited with Dad ,your beloved parents, siblings and dearest friends❤️Mavis HirstRIP

A poem for mum

A life so dear, a heart so true,
A mother's love, forever shining through.
Ninety-two years of life, of laughter and of tears,
A journey marked by love, through all the passing years.

Your hands, so gentle, yet strong and wise,
Guided me through life's joys and demise.
Your heart, a haven, a place to call home,
Where love and comfort, forever roam.

Though you've left me now, your memory stays,
A bittersweet reminder of life's fleeting ways.
We'll cherish every moment, every smile, every tear,
The memories we shared, the love we hold dear.

In heaven's garden, may flowers bloom for you,
And angels sing sweet melodies, a new.
May your rest be peaceful, your soul be free,
And know that i love you, eternally.
Mum, you may be gone, but you'll never be alone,
Your love, your legacy, forever in my heart will stay home.
Rest now, dear mum, and know you're loved,
Forever in my heart, your memory will be cherished..❤️

A tribute to mum

Dear Mum
You're gone, but your love and legacy live on in me. I'm so grateful for the memories, laughter, and lessons we shared. Your strength, kindness, and generosity inspired me to be a better person.
Thank you for being my rock, my confidant, and my guiding light. I'll miss you more than words can say. I love you, Mum. Rest in peace.
With all my love ❤️
