Amma was a very loving and caring person, she made me feel so welcome when I first went to Perth to meet the family. Amma likes to cook. I remember Amma taught me how to make Watalappan at her place. She told me step by step what to do and I wrote down the instruction step by step. The Watalappan turned out really well. I took the recipe back to Brisbane with me and I practised making it many times. Watalappan then became my best Sri Lankan dish and Jay enjoyed it very much. Thanks to Amma for being so patient in teaching me how to make Watalappan. Read more
