Gary & Cathie are like my aussie parents. Had no family nor many friends when coming to Broome 15 years ago. They took me on like I was part of their family, showed me how to get around on my own, what to look out for, how to fix my car - the aussie way. Awesome people with a bloody good heart! Gary was a true blue aussie, loved camping, fishing and was a hard worker. He loved his family so much and adored Cathie. You left us too early!! You were meant to travel with Cathie and enjoy live! I hope wherever you are now that you get treated well as you deserve it most.
Thinking of all the family and hoping you get through this difficult time. Sending you all my love and best wishes.

Wishing you strength and comfort through this time. Gary was an amazing person, a loving husband, a caring father and a doting grandfather. I will always remember the support and wisdom have gave over the years. Though you are no longer here, you are forever in our hearts.

My deepest condolences to Aunty Cathy, my dear friends Vanessa and Kim, to Liliana and Ava, to Bec and family and Clint.
My girls and I are deeply saddened and sorry for the loss of your wonderful husband, amazing father and loving granddad.
A man I have been blessed to have known for 45 out of my 50 years.
Growing up in Broome, he was always Mr Robinson. Up until about 12-13 years ago, he insisted we drop the mister part and just call him "Gary". "Nope! Cant do that", I told him.
It was not in our social make up to call Mr Robinson by his first name. So after a little back and forth, we settled on 'Uncle Gary' - a name we should've been calling him for many years before this conversation.
It was a fitting name for such a respected, respectful, kind, decent loving and hardworking man. A gentleman that was always a constant presence in our lives growing up. Thank you for that.
Rest in Peace Uncle Gary.
You will be missed more than you would have realised.
With much love and respect,
Kim, Kara and Peta Baldwin xxx

In loving memory of our dear marvellous friend Gary. Back in the day we all spent many years together when our children were young and also as oldies. We had many camping trips on the Fitzroy River, Rumbal Bay, 9Mile and Gudumul . Looking for oysters, fishing for Barra, building our camps, boating and crabbing. The laughs around the camfire( with a port or two) our trip to Port Hedland to go shopping at K Mart, the celebration we had at Gudumul to see in the new millennium and all our lovely dining experiences at the restaurants in Broome to celebrate our birthdays and anniversaries. Such heartfelt times we all had. To our dear Cathie, Vanessa and Kim, Rebecca and Max, Clinton and Toshie Re, Liliana, Ava, Hamish and Xaviar we are heartbroken that you’ve lost your dear Husband( and soulmate) Dad and Grandad, he was locally recognised and respected as a true gentleman.
Rest in Peace Gary Rob
