Dear Dee
Although I can no longer visit you, I will see you every day in Sharonne and our children. I am very grateful that I had you as a mother-in-law. I'm feel very fortunate to have met Sharonne, and had the chance to meet you.
Your resilience and never give up attitude were inspiring. You worked very hard to provide for your family, making sure they were warm and fed and got to school every day, no matter what. Most of all, you made sure that anyone who stepped into your house felt loved and safe.
That theory was proved when Sharonne and I moved in with you, many years ago, whilst building our first home. I have always been grateful for your generosity and have never forgotten it. We certainly got to know each other well then, and it left us in good stead for the years to come. Our running joke, that we have shared for many years now, and that you laughed about every time, was that I was your favourite son in law (of your total sons in law of 1).
May your strong, but gentle soul rest in peace. Thank you for all the love I felt over the years, I miss you a lot.
Your favourite son in law, Craig
