Dear Tinesh, it was just very shocked and feeling disbelief until today that such a young, kind and energetic soul was taken away just like that. Thank you soooo much for running such a wonderful business which has always satisfied my cravings and helped me in overcoming homesickness in the past decade since arriving in Perth.

I know how hard this can be for your whole family. I still can stop grieving. But I must say, he has made his life so worthy which was evident in the ceremony. Such a pride moment. Thank you for always finding my family a spot to eat at Spice Express come rain, hail, shine or instagram foodie queue. Thank you for always being so cheerful. Thank you for knowing our exact order every week but still being so considerate enough to ask it again incase we've changed our mind. Thank you for my hot teh tarik served perfectly and the luke warm milo for Navin and Indhi so they didn't burn their tongue. You knew exactly how to look after us. For those looking outside in, it was a busy Sunday breakfast service, but for my family and I, it was our weekly ritual, a place of love, inclusion, a celebration of our culture through great food and great memories with you and your family.

How will we honour your memory? The kids, Jerry and I plan to hike bluff knoll and plan a new adventure each year as you would have done. You've inspired us in a million ways more than you will know.

Dearest Pushpa, Vas, Shanti and all - I have been moved to tears by the love expressed for Tinesh during the online funeral today. I knew and loved him too, but I wish I had got to know him better, for after today, I realise he was even more wonderful than I already believed, which is saying a whole lot! The words I heard loudest were 'luminous', 'full of light' - yes, indeed, his was a bright bright flame, in our hearts forever.
