It is with great sadness we mourn the loss of my Uncle Rhodes.
Rhodes was a great influence during my early life, teaching me patience and humility. He showed what could be achieved with perseverance and commitment. He oozed great creativity and was highly innovative, whilst being extremely productive.
There was no problem he couldn’t solve with quiet industry.
He had a soft side and taught me that music should be melodious and tuneful, with lyrics which should be clear and sensical.
I always looked forward to our visits to see Rhodes and Aunty Olive.
His wit and wisdom will be greatly missed by all and we offer our sincere condolences to his (continually expanding) family.
Rest in peace Uncle Rhodes; now with Aunty Olive and our parents, Simon and the Edmunds.

Prayers for all of the family. He was blessed to have you as family.

Our dear uncle Rhodes,
You were always the quiet one in the family, that was very welcome sometimes! We will miss your lovely smile and knowing eyes.
We didn't see much of each other as distance kept us apart but you were a soul mate of sorts although you didn't know it.
You have left a legacy in you beautiful family that will keep the memory alive forever.
Sleep now our uncle, you deserve the rest.xxx

Uncle Rhodes
I shall miss you. I'll remember the good times we had, both here when you visited family in England, and on my visits to Australia. I'll also remember, with fondness, the little quirks you had, like you never quite getting the hang of time differences, when you used to videophone me at 3am, my time, to ask how to cook something! I shall treasure those memories.
Rest well now.
