Sahu aunty it was so wonderful meeting you in Perth after many years of leaving Ranchi. I have vivid memories of the crisp cotton sarees you wore to work at Mecon hospital. Mum and dad too were so pleased to have spend time with you and uncle. They still talk about the trip we took to Rottnest island .Your warmth, kindness and genuine interest in my kids will be deeply missed. Wish I had visited you more often. Rest in peace dear aunty. As far I can remember,since my childhood from the age of four I know her as Dr Sahoo aunty. Any health issue Dr Aunty is the solution.Countless time visiting her at Mecon hospital where she practised. Quite serious in looks while examining her patients. The only times I use to dislike her was when she prescribed injections.Longer and thicker the syringe so was my annoyance.
At home she was always humble,smiling and welcoming.A very approachable human being,very experienced doctor and a very sweet homemaker aswell.So many times spent time at her home with Mamina Di elder sister to me,Shovan her son and my classmate aswell and talented Gudina the youngest daughter who herself is following the footstep of her mother.Those time use to be filled with fun and laughter.Going back to old days further Uncle was also a batch mate and room mate of my Dad at Burla engineering college.So the bonding was there from early 60s.Its been 60 years thereafter.I cherish all that moments spent together with the family and sincerely pray to almighty for her good soul to rest in peace and also pray to almighty to provide the strength to all family members and near and dear ones to cope up with this great loss.
