One poem and one stanza written by a relation of Aunty Florence’s husband, Uncle Noel…..Henry Derozio
How keen the pang, how sad the thought,
How oft to quiet remembrance brought,
When love from love is forc'd to part
When distance separates the heart.
Where The Mind Is Without Fear
Know ye the land where the fountain is springing,
Whose waters give life, and whose flow never ends;
Where Cherub and Seraph, in concert, are singing,
The hymn, that in odour and incense ascends?
Know ye the land, where the sun cannot shine,
Where his light would be darken’d by glory divine;
Where fields are all fair and the flow’ret’s young bloom
Never fades, while with sweetness each breathe their perfume;
Where sighs are ne’er heard and where tears are ne’er shed
From hearts that might else-where have broken and bled;
Where grief is unfelt, where its name is unknown,
Where the music of gladness is heard in each tone;
Where melody vibrates from harps of pure gold
Far brighter than mortal's weak eye can behold;
Where the harpers are rob'd in a mantle of light
Where rays from a rain-bow of emerald beam bright
Where truth is no name, and where bliss is no dream?-
More dazzling than diamonds, than silver more white;
Tis the kingdom of Glory - the region of Rest –
The boon to man shall hereafter be given –
‘Tis loves hallow’d empire – tis Heaven ! tis Heaven !

Oh how I miss You My Beautiful Elegant Mum.
You were so young at 23 your courage and determination you blessed my father with a gift that he so longed for.
My beautiful grandmother came from England to join you in prayers for 10mths so that you could have a baby girl and would name her Mary and would dress me in blue and white for 12months and so I was born my father's amazement as he was a Protestant called me is miracle child to confirm this I was born on the Feast Day of the Virgin Mary the 8 September further clarification to the miracle you had another 3 boys after me and my Dad converted to becoming a Catholic he never stopped praising Mother Mary. My Darling mum so you went through many travels of life up and down with your powerful strenght not once giving up on any rocky road believed that the holy spirit and Mother Mary will always be at your side and I am a witness to seeing your strenght seeing you coming through the tough times and gracefully you came through and always still smiled and laughed also diminishing our fears like nothing happened so beautiful memories you have left us all will never forget you my darling mum forever always will treasure and love you miss you forever till we meet again and all together with my dad my brother and my grand daughter Breanna-Rose Thank You our Holy Lord and Our Sweet Mother Mary for blessing me with such a loving caring always caring mum and dad. Always love and miss you my Darling Mum xxxxxxx
I remember from when my mother talked of her childhood, the fondness with which she spoke of Florence. A dear friend with whom she had mischievous fun. A reconnection for them both in two carefree weeks in Exmouth. And for myself a kind clever optimistic woman always energetic who made genuine connections with all she met, loved her God and her family. A life to be proud of.

My message
From Mum and Dad.
Is Unity in this family.
As peace is all you asked for. I try mum for unity. Love was unconditional for you and us.
Words left unspoken. Many a tear flows. Miss you mumma.
To heaven you go.
Hi Mum, I have been going through some things of yours, now more dear to me then ever, mostly little prayer booklets, and letters you wrote to God for your children. Treasured memories for us. One of your wishes, is for each of us, was to pick a month, and offer a Mass for you for the repose of your Soul. I will do that for you, November is the month I chose.
Prayers was your only weapon here on earth. You were bigger than Life, and a true servant of God, May you rest, now, until we meet again. 🙏
The days you would take me to church or to visit your friends in your little green Corolla, I remember so vividly. I thank you for your rose water lassi’s on a hot afternoon, the scrambled egg you’d whip up in 30 seconds for me before school and your chicken biryiani, yum! You washed dishes faster than anyone I knew, and I now do the same. The time I was 4 years old in hospital, you came alone and visited me with colouring books and pencils. The nights we’d stay up and watch Sale of a Century, your favourite show! You knew the answers and was just so clever! The kids Xmas parties you’d organise every year, made for a happy childhood for a lot of us.
It wasn’t fair what you had gone through in the last few years of your life but now you are at peace in the highest part of heaven, love you Nan x
Lord please take care of my mum and let perpetual light shine upon her for all eternity I prayer, in Jesus name...Amen 🙏
