I met Elman at our. Minimeet ups in Macapagal Seaside last 2019.i never thought that it was our first and last meet up after 1983.
Farewell to you my friend. We'll see each other again. You're in our God's hand now. May you rest in paradise. Till we meet again in the next life. In Jesus name 🙏 Amen 🙏

Hey Elman! We missed you at our 40th reunion. MaSci ‘83 will never be the same without you. Thank you for allowing us to use your hotel room that evening. We were thinking about you as we were sorting and packing the reunion giveaways in that room. Okay na eh, we were excited to see you. All set ka na to come to the Philippines and then suddenly, you left. You will always be remembered, our dear sweet friend and batchmate.

To the family of my Manila Science HS classmate, our deepest condolences and prayers for peace that transcends understanding. May you rest assured that Elman has gone home to his Creator and is better off in the place where he went. May you find comfort in the word of God in Isaiah 57:1-2 (NLT) which says:
"Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time.
But no one seems to care or wonder why.
No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die."

I remember Elman as one of the boys in our batch who had a ready smile whenever we saw each other in the corridors of the school building. The first and last time we met after we graduated was in 2019 during one of MaSci Batch 83's mini-reunions. I failed to recognize him immediately, and I was just glad he approached me first. He spoke the most sincere greeting upon seeing each other 36 years after graduation. I saw in his eyes the excitement every time a familiar face came into the room and, just like what he did when I came in, he was always the first one to welcome everyone he knew who arrived.

I learned that he did not hesitate to help a needy batchmate. We missed him in our 40th year reunion but we will forever miss a kind-hearted soul in Eman. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Sincerest condolences to Elman's family. I remember him as a serious classmate when we were in Masci. When we organized a fundraising for a batchmate, he was among the the first ones to respond. His only question was how much did that classmate need. Then he sent the money immediately. He was really a generous and helpful guy. May you rest in peace, Elman.
