Mum there aren’t enough words to express how much you meant to me.
My world revolved around you. I loved opening your door and the words “still here” truly filled me with comfort.

You often told me that I needed to find a hobby because you felt I spent too much time visiting you and I used to say “you are my hobby” I will definitely have to find a hobby now that you’ve gone.

My heart is broken. The thought that I will never see you again is just too much to bear.
I will miss you every minute of every day. Thank you for teaching us great values and how to be good people. You were a shining example of how to live your best life.

You certainly made your mark in this world in the best possible way.

You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.

I will love you forever. It’s not goodbye it’s I’ll see you later xxxxx

Today we celebrate the life of a remarkably strong woman, our beloved Elizabeth Thomas.

She was the heart of the family and her love for us all was boundless

As I reflect on my grandmothers life and her love for knitting, I can’t help but think of the beautiful thread of love that she wove through the fabric of our family.

Her love not only influenced her children, including my mother, but also the generations that have followed. A love expressed through countless acts of kindness and selflessness.

Through my mother, I have felt the echoes of that love in my own life. Her stories about my grandmother painted a picture of a woman whose love stood strong in the face of challenges in South Africa and celebrated the joys with equal enthusiasm

I am deeply grateful for the lessons in love that my grandmother imparted through my mother. It is a legacy that I am committed to carrying forward, not just in memory but in action when I one day become a father

Aunty Zen Zen, as i sit here reflecting on our Saturday morning chats, a wave of warmth washes over me. Our laughter echoed through those moments making our weekend mornings truly special. The world feels less bright without you. Thank you for being a pillar of support, for your boundless love and for the countless smiles you brought into our lives. Your spirit and warmth will linger, continuing to touch our hearts. We'll come together, not in sorrow, but in gratitude for the privilege of having shared this beautiful journey with you. Mum,
I've known you the best part of half a century. I've witness some of your good times and also some difficult, trying times that you have been through. Times when others may have thrown in the towel and concentrated on themselves. But you were so different, you took on those periods and became stronger. You lived for others. You always put others first, I cannot find an adjective to properly describe you. You left us a legacy and an example to follow, by the life you lived.
I salute and honour you, as an absolute true, handmaiden of our Lord.
You are forever remembered, never forgotten. RIP

Granny,
It is hard to imagine life without having you in it. The constant in my life - nurturer, provider and my confidante.
You taught me so much and I'm very thankful for that. I'm grateful too that especially in the last couple of months I had many opportunities to tell you so. I cherish the memory of one of my last visits with you, sitting late at night while you dozed off... then you woke, but still with your eyes closed you felt around the bed for my hand. I took your hand and we stayed holding hands for ages. I can still remember the feeling.
The loss of you is so painful, but I try to remember that you are no longer suffering in any way, and you are resting in Eternal Peace. Gran, I love you to the moon and back and I will only stop missing you when I see you again. Please keep guiding me xx
Much love and God Bless, from your Mixed up Mokes xx

Ouma,

The love of a granny is so unique and unmatched. Your heart is irreplaceable.
There aren’t enough words to express the joy of visiting with you and watching TV until all hours of the night.
Your commitment to Christ was inspiring and I will continue to follow in your footsteps.
Thank you for your love, support, care and sacrifices.
My heart aches, but I know you are at peace in paradise. I know you will continue to be there for me as you did on Earth.

I love you endlessly.

P.S. Thank you for introducing me to frozen yogurt all those years ago, it was a total game changer.
