I have so many wonderful memories of my best friend Eira, calling at her house to go to youth meetings together at a young age. then going to stay with my Aunty Jenny in Cwmtwrch and meeting the youth in the church there - Eira would swing on the washing line and break it then said come on Sine run.....
Our holiday in London when we were sixteen Oh My!!
Then there was Jersey with Sarah and Christine - we hired a car Eira wanted to drive, well she drove us up a one way street that was the last she did drive!
There were many times Derek, Eira and Sarah would take Christine on holiday with them their kindness to me I will never forget.. I have so many stories and memories of my best friend..
Thank you Lord for blessing me with such a Kind, loving, funny and cheeky beautiful friend..
There was never a dull moment..
I will miss you my friend my heart is full..... but now you are home with the Lord....
Your friend always Sinah (Sinox)....

My fondest memories of my auntie Eira was as a child going through a dark time she was there for me and ready to help beyaond what I expected and that gave me the reassurance l needed to carry on, I could always see the genuine love in her eyes and smile.
Even though I haven’t seen her for sometime I miss her.

So many happy memories of our dear friend Eira. We have indeed been through ‘thick and thin’; crying and so much laughter! We just hope heaven is prepared for all her crazy antics and, we hope she didn’t pack her lace up boots, umbrella and knotted handkerchief for the journey!! She will definitely never be forgotten- a lady of Bags of love and laughter. God Bless xx

Eira welcomed me with open arms when I arrived in Kenfig Hill as the village doctor, in the "Old Country", in 1982. She, Derek and Sarah also opened their home to me and so looked after me in those early months. Although diminutive in stature, she was massive in personality and love, and filled any room. Now at home with her Lord and Saviour: Nos da, Eira - gwel' chi yn y bore.

I have know Eira for most of my life. Her 'call sign' was fun and laughter, there was always a giggle or a quip that was near to the surface with her. The practical jokes, dressing up and mimicking by her and Derek never failed to make even the most dour person collapse in laughter. It would be good for Sarah to ask for everyone's memory and pictures of all such incidences and put them together in a booklet.

I remember a time when my brother, Mal. bought a new Norton motor bike and took her for a high speed run across Cefn Cribwr ridge. She screemed with terror every inch of the way and after getting off and using many adjectives vowed never to ride with him again.
She would often come home from work as a nurse and tell hilarous stories especially about patients who were having bowel movement difficulties.

Her love of people and her family was what made her a special nurse, mother, wife and friend.

Rest in peace Eira, enjoy your Lord and have fun catching up with "the cloud of witnesses" who have gone before.

Jonathan xxxx

My dear Aunty Eira what wonderful memories I have of you, one of them you taking my stitches out in your front room in High Street.
You had a wicked sense of humour and have passed that down to Sarah, my beloved cousin, I will look out for her Aunty Eira, the ocean will not keep us apart.
Fly high and rest in peace, go cause some mischief with Nanna and Aunty Naiomi. Forever in my ❤️
