We were both in tears watching the funeral today: we're all so lucky to have been touched by Carol and have her as a part of our lives. She is now at rest but her spirit lives on in all our memories and in her family.

Bones, you put up such an inspiring fight, but alas God has taken you to join the Holy Choir. So very glad we got the opportunity to see you (and of course Sharky) here in Joburg recently. Dear Sharky, Brad, Jack & Adam.. all our love to you all on the passing of Bones. Sharkey & Bones - we have know you guys since 1988 in the UK. Zim 1 as Sharky was referred to... Even though you ended up in Perth and us in Sydney, somehow we have managed to keep in touch and bump into each other over the years. Especially on our most recent visit in mid 2022.
We will never forget the crazy time when you all came to stay with us in Sydney for the Olympic in 2000. The boys were little and with endless playing and the occasional minor injury I will always remember Bones casually glancing across the boys in a tangle of arms, legs and protests and smirking : "if there is no blood then I'm not interested" but we all new that she new exactly what was going on ready for a strong word, band aide and a hug.
It was an honor to be part of the live stream of Carol's farewell, which we watched today through tears and smiles of joy in remembrance and admiration for an amazing human being and a life well lived.

Dear Carol, my lovely friend through my other lovely friend Pixie, we only really got to know each other these past 6 months, a time, you were at your lowest ebb. But we laughed, we cried, we shared stories through a common thread, life in Zimbabwe, Australia and our beautiful friend, Pixie and Carol, you were such a remarkable lady in every way as a wife, a mum, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a nurse. You spoke of more travel, Thailand, Belgium, those place held a special place in your heart too and two weeks ago just simply wishing to take Pixie and I, out for tea and cake with you when you were due to go home. In good time my dear friend, beautiful Carol, in another world, we shall do all these things and eat cake too. Love to Mike, Adam, Jack and family for your heart breaking loss

My dear friend Carol, I still can't believe you're gone. The world seems a bit emptier without your infectious laughter and your incredible kindness. Nearly 34 years ago I first met Carol/Bones. She and Sharky were engaged and living in the UK. She was like a breath of fresh air and full of fun. One anecdote I remember was her telling of nursing rounds visiting new babies and the surprise visiting a rock star's twin babies who were dressed in black Babygros 😄
Many years later we met a few more times in Brisbane and Perth. She always made you feel as if you'd known her all your life and would light up a room with her warmth and wit. She touched many lives and is unforgettable.

I worked a little with Carole, we were both in a casual nursing role together at GenesisCare and had many great chats and lots of fun. It was a privilege to know Carol and be part of the Seward/Crowe clan. Carol has such an unbelievable zest for life which touched everyone around her. Carol was an extraordinary friend, always radiating love and kindness in everything she did. Even amidst her long battle with cancer, she remained a beacon of positivity, inspiring all who knew her.
Our paths crossed through nursing and I was continuously amazed by her dedication to caring for others. Carol's presence in my life brought warmth and light, and I am grateful for every moment we shared. Carol is dearly missed, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire.

If a life could be measured in love Carol, yours was jampacked to the brim with love.
Your love for life! Your love for Mike, your boys, your family, your friends and those you cared for was clear and ever strong.

We net in our twenties. I am so grateful for your friendship. You've been there for me, Brian and the girls so many times.

We met when we were ten.
I soon found out that you did not experience our world with your brain but through your heart.

As teenagers we rode horses, shared heart aches and waxed each others legs.
