Well, Nina.

It feels like I know you more than I should considering we never met face to face. I guess lots of time on Skype, or Zoom, on voice or video calls, adds up over time.

Thank you for all your help, support, and wisdom during my time in Taiwan.

I feel very fortunate to have spent time with you, even if it was over the internet.

Maybe in the back of my mind I always had it that we would meet one day face to face, me you and David if I visited Oz.

Well, maybe not in this life. If reincarnation is a thing, I'll look out for you in the next one! ;-)

Love and best wishes,
Darren R.

Hi Nicole,
I’ve just seen the funeral service for your mum.
It brought back great memories.
Trish and you laughing. (Trish still talks about it).
And, “of course your mum’s great cooking”.
There will always be a Bivona corner next to us.
Lots of love from
Brenda & Trish

Dear Nicole,
We were so pleased to feel a part of the service for Nina today from afar – Brenda and I were watching together from Melbourne.
It was lovely hearing Nina’s story and it brought back many memories for us.
She was indeed a wise and wonderful woman.
Our thoughts are with both you and Jacinta.
Lots of love,
Anne & Brenda (CSMC)

Thank you Nina, for inspiring us. For your warmth and vivacity and good humour, and your generous spirit. You taught so many of us how to appreciate every moment in the flow of life. I have many happy memories of times with you in Melbourne, at Clifton Hill and Acland St, and little trips away - especially one memorable trip down the Great Ocean Rd when we rescued a kangaroo stuck in the surf! And how lucky I was, as a little Anglo kid, to share your table and experience the delights of Italian home cooking with fragrant herbs. You also showed me how to make stovetop coffee with a Bialetti - an important life skill! Lastly, thank you for giving us Nicole, who brought so much joy and laughter into my childhood and who carries on the Bivona traditions. Thank you Nina, I will miss You - but Your smile and your voice will live on in my heart. Dxox

Dearest Nina
I will cherish the memories of our many joyful, sometimes challenging but always inspirational conversations, ….so many “walks and talks” out in nature.
You were an incredible beacon of light, love and guidance during my cancer journey and for that myself and the family were most grateful.
Thank you for sharing your kitchen, your garden, your life experiences and wisdom so generously, my dear friend and mentor. Much love always. xxx

A few words in celebration of Ninas life
Even as I start to write this title above, Nina's teachings spring to life, "set the intention David.."
Nina was a truly extraordinary woman whose impact was far-reaching and deeply personal. I had the privilege of knowing Nina for over 15 years and what started as a professional partnership blossomed into a cherished and deeply meaningful friendship.

Nina imparted wisdom that has become central to my life, with teachings such as 'The map is not the territory,' highlighting the complexities of life, and the principle that 'focus leads to clarity and clarity leads to power of action' she helped me give things a dedicated attention that meant less slipped through the cracks. One particularly valuable strategy she taught me was to ask 'What would Nina do?' when facing challenges. This simple question has been a beacon guiding me through many trials.

I know some may have mistaken Nina’s insistence on excellence as a kind of stubbornness. But I recognised it as a passionate commitment to elevating everyone around her. In one unforgettable instance, Nina's uncanny knack for defusing a critical business situation led her to boldly claim, 'I'm better than a lawyer,' a statement that proved to be unequivocally true.

On a lighter note, Nina had an endearing and thoughtful way of decluttering her life. She'd offer me items from her garage, asking if I needed them, or "take them for the children". And more often than not, I accepted these items, if for no other reason than to make her feel good. We also shared countless intimate moments around her kitchen table, a space of warmth and wisdom, where life lessons were discussed over lovingly-crafted omelettes and endless coffee.

While I can't articulate the vast scope of what Nina taught me, I know its vast and that she also touched many by her brilliance and quest for excellence.

Although I can't be present in person with you today, please know that my thoughts and heartfelt condolences with you all during this sorrowful time and hopefully the internet will work and we can participate a little.

Thank you Nina for your presence in my life, I will never forget you and the positive impact you have had on both my family and myself.

Nina helped me transition through a very difficult part of my life. I still accredit my knowledge and use of NLP today because of her. She helped me use kinesiology as part of my pedagogy, colour with teaching children to spell and tapping to clear blockages. My fondest memories of her always having time to chat and share a meal. I always think of her when I make her minestrone soup recipe. Her winter and summer solstice ceremonies to spread seed. I haven't seen her for a few years. I will miss her smile and laughter.
