CONTRIBUTE
TO MEMORY TIMELINE
You grew up in a time when having nothing truly meant that — when everything had to be earned through determination and hard work. It would have been easy to give up, but you never did. You worked tirelessly to build a better life for your family, and in doing so, you showed what strength and character really look like. Everything you achieved stands as a testament to the life you lived — honest, hardworking, and full of purpose. You gave your family not just what they needed, but the love, security, and example they’ll carry with them always. In retirement, it was a joy to see you enjoy the fruits of that hard work. Some of our fondest memories will always be the time spent with you on the farm. You were a very special father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and we are so grateful for everything you were and everything you gave. With love always, Craig, Paula, Jacob, Ayana and Kai
What a remarkable man. One of a very special generation. I have just had the privilege of watching Alick's (as we knew him) funeral service on line. Sincere condolences to his family. Anne Small 4th Australian Infantry Battalian A I F 1939_ 1945 Association
Our sincere condolences to Alick's family. Our thoughts are with you today. We Will Remember Them. Lest We Forget
>read onGrandad. How proud I am to call you that. A self-made and resilient man who came from so little and achieved so much through determination, hard work and courage. Never one to complain, you set the most incredible example for me and indeed your whole family. The true animal whisperer, your caring and cheekier side was always a pleasure to see as well. I will always cherish our chats- hearing about the highs and lows of your early life and how rightfully proud you were of your farming achievements. A hero in every sense of the word- what you did for your family and indeed this country, will never be forgotten. I love you grandad and will miss you dearly.
