Dear Mary, As we celebrate your life today, I want to thank you for the love and kindness you showed me. On the first day we met, you welcomed me into your family with a big hug, then we had cake. Tuesdays was one of your favourite days for a while, when You and Wilf would come to help look after baby Alice while I was at work. Your bond with Alice was lovely to watch. You showered her with love and I think you left her with a slight English accent and your kindness. Wilf, you were such an amazing husband and carer to Mary, especially in the last years, going every day to visit her in Joondalup, then at least every second day all the way from Roleystone. Mary, your love and kindness lives on in our hearts. With much love, Hayley ♥️

By some small miracle I received a video of Mary just the other week. It was a delight to see her again after many years, and I thought she looked as beautiful as ever. Mary, I'm glad to have known you, and the incredible family of which you were an inspirational matriarch. Rest in Peace. May your boys and their girls all find solace in your peaceful passing. With much love to you all, from the while Pino family

Dear Nanna Mary, Thank you for all our play times. I remember you bringing me bubbles and playing for hours outside. You would bring me dot to dot and colouring books to do together. You’d bring fruit bread and you’d make it with lots of butter. Thank you for the songs you’d sing to me. We will miss you. Lots of love, Alice xx

Mum, Thank you so much for loving me as your daughter. I am truly grateful for having a mother-in-law as kind and loving as you, who welcomed me into your life and treated me as one of your own. It has been 40 wonderful years of knowing you, and we’ve shared so many beautiful memories together—memories that I will treasure in my heart forever. I am going to miss you more than words can express. I’m so sorry for all that you went through. Life wasn’t always fair, and there were tough times, but you faced it all with incredible strength. In those final weeks, it warmed my heart to see you and Dad singing to each other. It was such a beautiful reflection of the love and passion you shared, a bond that has always inspired me. The way you two sang together was truly moving and will be a memory I hold close forever. Mum, please know that we are here for Dad, and we will take care of him, just as you would have wanted. Fly high, our beautiful angel. You will be missed more than words can say, and you’ll remain forever in our hearts. I love you, Mum.
