Ian was a wonderful mentor and friend for many years and offered so much to the community. Our thoughts go to Hazel and family during these sad times.

We always remember you.We only have to look up at the sky and we will see the big grinning star, the legend you were and are. Our Deepest Sympathies to Hazel, Craig & Family. Ian was a true Gentleman with a strong passion for sailing. An amazing man and along with Hazel contributed so much to his love of sailing. With Geographe Bay Yacht Club benefitting from Ian’s commitment in particular as Commodore and treasurer on numerous occasions. Even in later years with the support on Opening Day for the Meiklejohn Family Trophy. Ian was always a wonderful supporter of juniors in sailing. Ian will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Well played Uncle Ian, a gentleman through and through. Aunty Hazel, Kylie, Craig and family, what a privilege to have been part of Uncle Ian's family and have him as a role model. We will miss him dearly, but his legacy and attributes live on. A man of impeccable integrity, community spirit and love for his family and friends. A wonderful life lived by a wonderful man.
