I've had the proud privilege of knowing Cdr. Ernest Proudfoot through the Indian Services' organization, Perth. I don't think there is a person more positive, upbeat and more generous than Ernest. Despite his poor eyesight and injuries due to frequent falls; not once did i hear a word of complaint from Ernest. As one sailor to another, "Oh Sailor
Sniff the air, look how the birds fly, adjust your ship's mast and sail away in search of newer victories!"

Puggy, you were one of this world’s true gentlemen and a wonderful friend to my late parents, Alan and Phyllis Hoogewerf. Have fond memories of your couple of visits to us in Brisbane and all the fun and laughter we shared. Go gently into the good night dear Pug.
Rest in peace now with your dear Lois.
