What can I say about my lovely brother-in-law David. I have never known anyone as adventurous as you who always tried to help others to learn about nature and the things around them. You were always thoughtful and helpful and cared about people often doing odd jobs to help them out. You were loved by so many. You will be greatly missed by Liz, Kelly, Jenny, Caitlin and Cameron. I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye and give you one last hug. Lots of love Elaine XXX

My Uncle Dave was the kind of man that was always busy with a project, always tinkering with old things until they were either fixed or completely broken. I remember the great times we had driving across the Nullarbor in a truck. We decided to eat healthy instead of roadhouse junk so we bought a bag of apples. We then couldn’t eat them fast enough approaching the WA border so we had to feed the wildlife by throwing them out the window. We had fun times on Fishing trip to Shark Bay, the speedway, on motorbike riding, working on cars and so much more. You were kind and gracious and a true Gentleman To Liz, and your girls We are deeply sorry for the suffering you are feeling and will continue to feel and hold u in our thoughts and prayers. We love you. 💜

I have such fond memories of you teaching me to check the oil and water in my first car and showing me to tighten the wing nut only "finger-tight" Even as cars became more electronic — not your favourite — you patiently adapted, watching YouTube videos to keep up with the times. Thank you for always greeting us with your friendly smile and those big bear hugs — often just when we needed them most, even if you didn’t realise how much we were in need of one. Thank you, too, for the incredible bravery you showed every step of the way after you found out about your declining health. Your strength and selflessness were truly inspiring and a constant reminder of your love for those around you. I will forever treasure the memories i shared with you and cherish the time we spent together uncle. Love Kaylene xo

Dearest Aunty Elizabeth, Thank you so very much for all that you have done. You held Uncle’s hand every step of the way — through every appointment, every treatment, and every moment in between. You cared for him so lovingly, researching late into the night to ensure he understood everything that was happening, and working tirelessly to make sure he received the best care possible. We will be forever grateful for the kindness you showed to us, even while you were carrying the same sadness — and more so, as his loving wife. You still took the time to comfort Kaylene and offer reassurance, despite your own heartache. Please know that you and the girls will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers, always. With all our love Bradley & Kaylene xxxx

My beloved brother David You were such a hard worker, always willing to pitch in and help out. You were so handy with vehicles, doing the work of a mechanic and teaching others how to basic services on their cars. You were often willing to give new things a go. I will always cherish your happy nature, lovely smiles and big hugs. I will always remember our cups of tea with Aunty Pat and Uncle Charlie, and replicating that at home. When we lived on the apple orchard, I remember trying to teach you to avoid the codling moths, only to realise you'd misunderstood me and you were deliberately looking for them :) The lovely family holidays we shared as siblings with Mum after Dad had passed away brought much joy to us all. Who could forget the new experiences on our Bali holiday such as elephant rides and exotic foods at the markets. And again on the adventure to Kazakhstan, where it was real life unfiltered, no gimmicks for tourists. And lastly the African Safari, with all the amazing animals and the camping experiences each day. Much love to Elizabeth, Kelly, Jenny and families Love, Gloria xo

Uncle David was the funny one — always joking, always cheeky, and always up to something. He had the biggest heart and could make anyone laugh, no matter what was going on. He brought so much light and laughter wherever he went. Even when he was struggling himself, he never let it show. He always thought of others first. He was such a loving brother to Mum, Auntry Irene annd Gloria and even in his final year, when he was so unwell, he still made the effort to come to Albury and say his goodbyes. That showed just how strong and caring he truly was. His warmth, his humour, and his kindness will never be forgotten. He’ll be so deeply missed, but we take comfort knowing he’s now at peace — free from pain, reunited with his mum and dad.
