Rest in Peace Pop. You will be missed greatly earth-side, however we know that you will be happily embracing your dear Dott in heaven, and that brings us joy. We will never forgot your stories of Holland and the way you would share them with such detail. You will continue to live on through them. Love you old Pop Ben, now time to rest easy.

I had the pleasure of knowing Ben and his lovely late wife Dot for quite a few years. My daughters, Karley and Tahlia, worked for them in the ice cream van, and we all had so much fun at the races, having a flutter on the racehorses. These rich memories will be in our hearts forever. Ben was such a lovely man with a heart of gold, and I know Colleen and the family will miss him deeply. Sending our condolences and heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

A beautiful send off for Ben . Loved the history of the many years of hard work with great success . You were all a great team. My memories are of your young years in Oceon Grove . Nursing in Melb meant I could have many weekends with you . Loving the beech . I would liked to have joined you today . Lisa’s Husband Rob ‘s father passed away this week which then meant we had 2 Funerals today. One in Auckland & one in the west . Decided then to watch both on line . Much love to you all! Jim & Julia .

Dear Colleen,Robyn and Bernhard, It is only today(10 March) that we heard of Ben's passing. We're sorry for your loss. We wish you great strength to get through these difficult times. We have fond memories of Ben and Dot during our Australian holidays. Ben was a great guy, what a character, but we had even more laughs with Dot. Her sense of humour just floored us. It is a pity we are so far away from you in Holland, but you are in our memories and so are Ben and Dot. We wish you all the best. Marleen and Hans from Maastricht,Holland. P.S. We're having a nice drink (Irish whiskey and white wine) on your health.
