Marinda and I met Isabel at an All Nations gathering in Taiwan in 2015. Her joy, enthusiasm, amazing stories and openness to the Holy Spirit will aways stay with us. I am so sad that we haven't had opportunity to work with her in the harvest fields. Isabel was a doer and a listener. I felt that she was really interested in us (for who we are) and in what were doing in the Kingdom. She was a mentor to many. All Nations will always be grateful for having Isabel as one of our international leaders.

It was such a privilege and great joy to be around Isabel. She was with us in Taiwan in 2003 and maybe the next year again, to lead women’s conference, and in 2015 at an All Nations gathering. She brought warmth, love and laughter wherever she goes. She made people feel valued and significant. I would always remember her ukulele, her “butterfly kisses”, her deep love for the Lord, and her loving kindness to everyone around her. She inspired us to SEE people, as how God sees them, and to carry out grace and the love of Christ in this broken world.

My darling mum. We have travelled the world together, shared with hundreds of people our faith in Jesus, climbed mountains, hills and scrambled over rocks in rivers to bring the name of Jesus to the nations. In my growing years I was with you in many countries some of which were in India, New Zealand,Perth, down south and Kalgoorlie. Each of these places I was witness to the love you had for Jesus and how this love took its expression through living life everyday fully for Him. You founded and established alongside dad New Life churches in India bringing hope to many across the whole nation. On leaving India you came to Australia where your impact continued both within churches but also through you nursing. You founded the first Day Centres for the elderly, wrote books, nursed in remote areas in West Australia and wherever you went you brought hope, compassion and love through the name of Jesus. And your ukulele! The greatest joy for you was your 4 children and their spouses, your grandchildren and your darling great grand children. You sung a song of blessing over each of us and we were loved. Now you have left us and are in His presence but we will continue to carry the light and hope of Jesus to those around us. Love you my darling mum,my friend, my heart and fellow adventurer. See you in heaven!

We know that Isabel is with the one she loves the most. Our hearts are sad, but our thankfulness is greater. Monika and I have ministered with Isabel since 2002, when she joined All Nations. She was a major strength to our young mission's work. Her experience gave us confidence, her love encouraged and her wisdom guided us. In 2007 Isabel joined our international leadership team and influenced many workers in many nations. On a day like this only one thing really matters: Who Isabel was as a person, a friend and role model. Our hearts were very close to her, our trust was immense and our good times will never be forgotten. Isabel brought prayer to the next level, her positive attitude to everyone was a big teaching lesson and her wisdom gave directions, when we were stuck. We remember the trips to many countries, the wonderful conferences and the times of having tea in her little house in Kansas City. We remember her smiles, her expressions and her ukulele. Isabel was a star in missions, but it never felt like it. In the later years she got quite handicapped, but she never complained to us and never dropped out of missions. She wanted Jesus to be known by everyone she met. Isabel loved her family dearly and so we got to know several of you. I, Monika, remember a day in Taiwan, coming back to the Hotel after ministering to people from morning till midnight. And there were still people waiting for our return for hours to be prayed for. Never would Isabel have sent them away to come back again the next day. Instead she opened her computer and showed pictures of her beloved family! After about 30 minutes we all started praying for those precious women till the morning hours. I asked her later, why she showed fotos of her family. Isabel answered: I love my family so much, that seeing their fotos lifted up my spirit and gave me new strength! We stand with the whole Paterson family and pray that your sadness will turn into joy for the mother, grandmother and great grandmother you have had. We are sure her legacy will continue through you. May our Lord bless you in this hour.

I can see Isabel playing her Ukulele to this song, and getting everyone around her to sing it too! She would then give you a great big butterfly kiss, Pat your handand tell you how special you are and how much Jesus loves you. After spending even 5 minutes with Isabel you always felt better! Loved and reminded you are never alone God is always with you. I am so thankful for the special time we spent together our talks that helped me believe I could do the difficult things and our laughs when she shared her many many stories. I know she is dancing and playing her ukulele now with Jesus and many many are listening to her stories of God’s amazing miracles he has done in her life. Until we meet again face to face my precious precious sister….

We have so many lovely memories of Isabel! In a moment we became friends and she made us feel like family to her. She was a mother to us and a grandmother to all our children. She had this uncanny ability to bring us right into her heart. No one quite like Isabel! What a special lady! Always full of joy, kind and encouraging. She was so much fun to be around, always bringing little gifts to pass around and making everyone feel loved and cared for. She pushed us in the most endearing way to step out of our comfort zones. Most of all, her love for Jesus was beautifully displayed through her life marking us all. Living Water Church will not forget her love and prophetic declarations over our children and teenage youth calling forth a youth movement that would be birthed through them in the years to come. We will not forget her inspirational messages and love for our church family. She loved to be among us and she served us so well. Finally, we remember how she loved her family - her pride and joy! I felt like I knew them all through her. May you experience sweet fellowship with the Lord and one another as you remember and celebrate a life well lived. May his grace and peace be upon you and his love carry you through the pain of grief. Isabel, how we miss you! How grateful to have had you in our lives. Oh, the joy we feel knowing we will see you again!

To the Patterson Family Our love to you all at this time. I don't need to tell you what an amazing Mother/Grandmother Isabel was. Everyone who met her was blessed by her love and her anointing from the Lord. The thousands of lives she touched from many parts of the world and lives changed as a result. It was our privilege to have met Mum many years ago and her life imprinted on ours. We join in your grief today. Thank you for allowing us to share in this special time. It's wonderful she is with the Lord and Dad, but it is our loss today and our love surrounds you today as you grieve her passing. Our love as always......Tony & Aureole Piper

I had the privilege of living with Isabel for a short time in her little house in Kansas City. She was the kindest person I have ever known. I would describe her as an "incarnate angel" who shined the love of Jesus where ever she went. Isabel taught me so much about grace and kindness. Even in the rare occasion that she would be mad or upset, there was a grace to trust the Lord with the situation. I loved Isabel. She was a blessing to all who knew her. I pray that the Lord comfort the Patterson family. I feel like I know many of you like my own family. Thank you for sharing Isabel with us. May the joy of knowing that we will see Isabel again comfort your hearts.

Remembering Aunty Isabel’s Love Cloud Aunty Isabel came from a long and wondrous line of strong, adventurous and determined women. Women with a sense of purpose. She is with them now and has left our family matriarchal line with a lot to live up to. We will do our best to honour her legacy in partnership with our men, and also remembering those in the family who knew Aunty Isabel and have passed. Aunty Isabel and my mother Rosina were “together through thick and thin” as they would say. The two matriarchs were always at the centre of parties, usually in full flight singing, laughing and letting it rip! The two sisters and their five half-siblings always had something to laugh about, always looking on the bright side. Isabel and Mum giggled and confided until the end. Thinking of Isabel now in my mind’s eye, she is inevitably, eternally smiling. I remember the happy, warm hum, the love cloud, that embraced those in Isabel’s orbit, like a beautiful summer’s day in Hamilton with flowers abloom and birds and insects humming. People were drawn to this love cloud. Amongst all of her magnificent achievements, I thank Aunty Isabel for the love she gave to her big sister, Rosina. Love from your Niece Suzie and family
