Beautiful service for great uncle alan. He was an absolutely amazing man whom me and my eldest daughter had the pleasure of meeting when he came over to the uk to my grandads (colin) One memory i have is him sitting in my moms house when he was over for a visit having dinner and was eating in his coat as he said it was so cold in the uk and we was all laughing he asked my eldest daughter about kindergarten and she was so confused to what kindergarten was. Our love and thoughts are with you all on the passing of uncle Alan. Condolences to aunty Margaret, Patricia, Caroline, Wendy and families. You have so many happy memories to cherish forever. He will live on in your memories always. I will always treasure our day out together to Birmingham, we had a lovely lunch then went down to na na and grandads resting place, uncle Alan told me it was only down the road, we seemed to be walking for ever, then he looked at me with a smile and said, I don't remember it being this far.
